Visit the museum, leave a donation
Our museum charts the progress of the Life Brigade from the year 1877 through to the present day and can be an enjoyable hour or two learning about our history and an educational experience for older children. If you enjoyed your visit you could leave a token of your appreciation in our collection pot.
Keep a 5p or 10p jar
We have small jars for our members to put their 5p and/or 10p coins in but you could supply your own jar and save any denomination coins you like, just hand it into the museum when it’s full, it all goes to a good cause.
If you volunteer, you will help to keep our coastline safe for people to use. You can also take part in fundraising drives be it holding a collection pot at special occasions or helping to run a refreshments bar (non-alcoholic!) at times such as the Sunderland Air Show or the recent Tall Ships race. It can be an enjoyable and social experience.
