OCT - DEC 2020
The coastwatch are looking forward to resuming watches starting this Friday the 4th December.
Due to the second lockdown we have had to suspend watches in the lookout until 4th December.
Congratulations go to Colin Sutcliffe on becoming Watchkeeper
Coastwatch will be having a post-lockdown meeting on Thursday to welcome our new members and to have a little catch-up with each other. Looking forward to it!
SVLB is no longer recruiting for Search and Rescue but we are still looking to recruit for Coastwatch personnel and are really keen to recruit Museum staff.
One of our supporters, Cafe Westoe is now opening from Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm, and Saturday from 9am to 3pm. The staff are pleased to be back and are looking forward to seeing you all again.
As of the beginning of June the Coastwatch will be mounting single Watchkeeper watches. We hope to be fully up and running soon.
This last month we have said goodbye to an active Brigade member and a former Brigade member. Jonathan Ridley and Gordon Hackett crossed
the bar and will be sadly missed by all who knew them. Fair winds and following seas lads!
